ENGINEER

 We are currently seeking an experienced multi discipline security and fire alarm engineer to join our team to carry out Installations and Maintenance of electronic fire, security and safety systems.

Job Description

• The successful candidate will carry out various installation, servicing, repairs, commissioning and reactive maintenance on electronic fire, security and safety systems including automatic gates and barriers for a wide range of customers.
• The role would also include completion of all relevant documentation through the Company’s in house service system
• Areas Covered: Predominantly North West (Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire) with occasional sites further afield.
• Participate in the company ‘on call’ rota

About the Candidate:

• Applicants must be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
• Experience in the fire and security sector desirable
• Full UK driving license
• Full DBS and industry security and background checks will be required
• Good communication skills with the Office/Managers/Colleagues/Customers
• Good timekeeping and tidy appearance

 The Package:

 Salary negotiable dependent on the candidates skills and experience.

Hours:

• Normal hours of work are between 08:00am and 16:30pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive with an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes.
• Pay is calculated for 8 hours each working day (Monday to Friday) from when the engineer has arrived at their first call of the day.
• Overtime entitlement will your prevailing contractual rate +1/3 after 40 hours until Saturday midday.
• You will be part of our on-call roster undertaking a week (Mon-Sun) on call at a time, along with your normal duties. Engineers are paid a standard on call fee of £60 for being on call plus £15 for each time you are called out plus pay at your overtime rates as above.

 TRAINEE

 An excellent opportunity for a Trainee Fire & Security Engineer to join a well-established company based in Bury, Greater Manchester.

Job Title: Trainee Security & Fire Engineer.           Reports to: Engineers/Office Managers.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work alongside an established engineer completing installation,  maintenance and remedial works on Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarms and other electronic fire, security and safety systems for a wide range of customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside engineers attending sites to carry out installation, remedial and maintenance work to electronic fire, security and safety systems including automatic gates and barriers.
• Assist engineer with required paperwork.
• Carry out workshop repairs equipment.
• Light Engineering duties.
• Attend training and develop knowledge and skills

Qualifications and experience:

• Associated electrical or industry qualifications would be beneficial

• Some site/construction experience would be beneficial.
